How Selling with Plug Works
Working with Plug is easy when you are working with the industry’s EV experts. Whether you found us through a marketplace partner, friend, or on your own, we will purchase your EV directly and have our experts give you EV-specific valuations with true market pricing within 15 minutes.
Step 1: Reply “Accept” to your offer email
You will receive an email from Plug with details of your offer. Reply “Accept” to receive next steps from your EV expert.
Step 2: Inspect your vehicle
You will receive a self-inspection link that will provide you with the guided instructions and flow for documenting your vehicle’s external condition on your phone. This process takes 5 minutes and can be done anytime anywhere. Please inspect your car during the daytime.
Step 3: Connect your Tesla account (Tesla Only)
Tesla drivers, we know the inside of your car is just as important as the outside. Connecting your account allows us to verify battery, software, and warranty on your EV.
Step 4: Process your sale
We process your sale through DealNow, our secure payment processing partner. DealNow uses advanced security measures including driver’s license and real-time vehicle title checks. All payments, loans, and titles are processed through secure connections, protecting both buyers and sellers from fraud.
Step 5: You get paid! We pick up your EV.
We pay you for your vehicle and once payment or loan processing is finalized, our transporters come to YOU to pick up the vehicle (typically within 3-5 business days).
